Born in Taiwan, Yun-Yang Lee studied the piano at the age of six. And he passed the exam of CNSM (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique) of Paris at 17 years old with unanimous vote, major in Piano.
In 2004, he obtained the “Diplôme de Formation Supérieure” of Piano and started to studied Chamber music the same year. In 2005, he entered the “Cycle de Perfectionnement ” of Piano. On June 2006, he received the Diploma of Chamber music and entered Cycle de Perfectionnement on September. On the same year, he worked with US violinist Sarah Kapustin and the cellist of Opera Orchestra of Paris, Clara Strauss, as Archiduc Trio.
He has studied with many renowned pianists and professors : Albert Mühlböck, Charles Lilamand, Theodor Paraschivesco, Laurent Cabasso, Jean Mouillière, Alain Meunier, Xiao-Mei Zhu, Michel Strauss, Vladimir Mendelssohn, etc.
Lee has won numerous awards at home and abroad. Including the Junior First Prize Winner of Chopin International Competition in Taiwan; the First Prize Winner and many other special prizes in 2nd Carl Czerny International Piano Competition in Prague; the First Prize Winner of Concours Musical de France, the Brest, Forum de Normandie and FLAME Piano Competition in France; the 3rd Prize of the Maria Canals International Piano Competition in Barcelona and the Special Prize of the
Youngest Concertiste; the Second Prize of Concours International des Nuits Pianistiques ‒ Concours des Lauréats SPEDIDAM in France; the Third Prize and special prize of Takamatsu International Piano Competition; the First Prize of Virtuoses du Coeur in Paris; the First Prize of Mayenne International Piano Competition in France; the First Prize of Ile-de-France International Piano Competition in France.
During his studies in France, he has played at The Great Hall of Zofin Palace and worked with Virtuosi di Praga at Rudolfinum. And was invited by the 4th Pontes International muisc Festival to play with the Essener Philharmoniker at Aalto Theatre in Essen. Also with Montpellier National Orchestra, Takamatsu Symphony Orchestra, Kyudai Philharmonic Orchestra. He has held his Solo Concert at Saal Bösendorfer and numerous cities of France and in Taiwan.
Lee is invited by many festivals:
Paris Chopin Piano Festival, Peter the Great festival in Holland, “Les Journées Romantiques”, the Giverny Chamber Music Festival, “Les Journées Ravel”, Les journées musicales entre Loir et Loire, Wesserling muisc Festival, “La Musicale des Baous”, “Cycle musicale de Kersaint”…etc.
Currently he’s a staff collaborative pianist in CNSM of Paris, CRR of Paris, Versailles Conservatory.
